Welcome to Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association
The Oklahoma Buckskin Horse Association (OBHA) was formed & incorporated in 1981. The club is operated & conducted as a non-profit association in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma. The purpose of the club is to make the public aware of and to encourage interest in Buckskin, Dun, Red Dun and Grulla horses through horse show competition.
We offer an avenue to our youth by showing them the pride, excitement and challenge involved in the raising, breeding, and showing of Buckskin horses - while continuing to improve the breed.
BUT WAIT! OBHA IS NOT JUST FOR BUCKSKINS ---- ALL BREED HORSES ARE WELCOME!!! OBHA offers a full showbill of All Breed classes for horses of any color to join us! We offer youth, walk trot, loping and ranch classes in our ALL BREED classes and we have several ALL BREED divisions to win high point awards in! Our largest classes over the past several years have been our All Breed classes! Our overall goal is to create a fun, family environment for all horse lovers in which to show their horses with excitement and provide the challenge of horse show competition.
No matter the color of your horse, an OBHA membership has it's advantages. As a member, you will compete and be eligible for year end awards and overall high point and reserve Division awards at each show. We also give out class circuit awards for each class, each show weekend to our members! You will have the opportunity of receiving the OBHA newsletter and you will meet other OBHA members at our social events we hold each show! Membership has it's privileges, so make sure you choose to become a member of OBHA! Membership renewal is annually and expires December 31 of each year.
At each of the OBHA shows, we offer ABRA approved classes along with All Breed classes (All Breed classes are for all breeds and all colors). OBHA shows are held at the Claremore Expo Center, in Claremore OK and also at the Tulsa Expo Facility in Tulsa, OK. Membership in OBHA makes an exhibitor eligible for many Year End Awards that the club gives out, so don't miss out & become a member today!
